Please don't leave, your country still needs you!!

To My Fellow Liberal-progressive Friends,

Since the reelection of George W. "Smirking Chimp" Bush things has been looking quite grim for the country. And what's sad is that his key liutentants are leaving their cabinet posts and being replaced with more hard-line, right-wing people who want to further damage the country. For our liberal-progressive brethren feel an urge to flee the country to Canada, Europe or anywhere where political leaders follow common sense. I don't blame them I would want to leave too. In the state that country is going in who would want to live in America? However, before you decide to become an expatriate and leave America for good or whenever Bush decides to leave. You would have to think : Do you have to leave your country or would you want to start questioning this tyrannical government and fight for America?

Yes , yes you maybe asking yourselves: Jabari are you crazy? Why do I want to stay in America when in the second Bush term he will repress my rights further ? I want to Canada or France, Germany, etc. where they have better health care and better human rights and politicians who have some common sense ? My answer to you is no, I am not crazy . Although in Canada and Europe have universal health care and all the goodies that this country should have and common sense laws leaving the country does not solve the problem. I ask that we on the liberal-progressive side to stay and fight because there are more of us out there than the amount of Bush supporters.

The Bush supporters are mostly contain large corporate interests and the number of billionaires whose influence, money and power helps them get whatever regulation that hinders their greed get their way.

The people in America vastly outnumber the Bush supporters. If we come together and pasionately fight and keep fighting against the huge secrecy we can finally beat Bush and his ilk in their games.

In these dark times that America faces its imperative that the people together and united to get the Smirking Chimp and their idiot nation of suck ups and kissasses out of office. We need to think in the here and now and next election. We cannot focus just on the 2008 Presidental Election nor we can't look to Hillary Clinton (sorry guys! :D) as our saivour to change things around. We can not also look at the Republicans that possibly would split up be cause of the neoconservative faction of the group that wants to get rid of the more moderate Republicans. We could wait for this mutiny to happen but time is not on our side . We have to move now.

The next major election that we need to look is the 2006 midterm elections. The '06 midterm election is an very important because this is where the new Congress the 110th Congress can have a Democratic majority. By having this huge victory we can keep the new Bush administration on notice and in check. So just leaving the country just would not solve anything . The Bush Crime family would see this as an easy opportunity to take over without any opposition from the people. (Did anybody tell you that running away never solves problems?)

Yes, staying here it sucks big time. I feel like this the absolute arrogance and power that Bush has to piss on the world would lead to Bush's and his ilk's self destruction. If no one is here to fight viciously against it would lead to America's and possibly the World's self-destruction. I know that the people who do not like the Bush Administration feel powerless and helpless to do something because Bush and his cronies are so powerful.

You are not powerless, you have the power to change direction of the country. If you care enough and don't like how things are you would want to do something about it. Abandoning your country in helping your fellow citizens in need in these dire times states that you do not care about your country. Its a guilt trip but I feel that its important to save our country in the best way we can.

So please don't leave U.S.

Your Concerned Friend,
Jabari Caughman

Time To Stop Whining and Start Fighting!!

I have been holding my thoughts about the realities of the upcoming second Bush administration. It's a hard pill to swallow. For the past two weeks after Bush and ilk pulled off another 2000 election debacle the logically-minded Americans who have voted for Kerry has been depressed, angry, depress and sadly, one man from Georgia was felt so bad about the reelection of Bush that he have taken his own life at the World Trade Center site. I really shudder to the thought that in the next four years America will be in its darkest times.

I still wonder why John Kerry and the Democratic party who has assured us that all the votes will be counted or even making sure in taking the necessary time needed to find out the possible voter frauds in parts of the country decided to just give up. Why John why? So you don't want the pull the country in long legal battles of the votes being counted ? You have failed to learn their history. Back in 2000 it had taken 36 days to determine if either George W. Bush or Al Gore was to be the next President. Within the 36 days the Republicans have challenged and fought hard to ensure that Bush was to be next President. So if it will take 8 to 10 days or 36 days to count all the votes then so be it. You just can not give up even if know that all the votes counted would possible to win the election. It's not about expediency it's about the principle of having the all the votes counted.

In the past two weeks there has been a lot of news about the Bush administration. A number of Bush's key lieutenants has left their post and replaced with hard-line very right wing idealouges. Such examples as : The religious nutcase-singing Attorney General John Ashcroft's replacement for his position is former Bush lawyer Alberto Gonzales a Bush toady that goes back when he was Governor of Texas. Gonzales, a man without any legal records of trying a case in civil or criminal court or wrote any legal opinion on a case was appointed to Texas Supreme Court under then-Governor Bush. Despite that Gonzales was the man who determined that the Geneva Convention of holding enemies does not apply to the prisoners in prison camps in Guantanamo Bay and in Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. From that decision well, I don't have to tell you of what happened there. To see this click this link : http://wid.ap.org/documents/doj/gonzales.pdf

In a recent development, Colin Powell the first black secretary of the State Department decided to leave the Bush administration and for good reason. He was tired of the BS that Bush and his ilk was running on. Powell while serving his tenure in the State Department privately opposed Bush's hardline approaches in America's reputation in the world. As being the voice of reason Powell had to tow the line for Bush. Powell's replacement for the Secretary of State is National Security Advisor Condolezza Rice. You will know about Condi Rice's reputation more right-wing more like Bush, and a ditz who can't secure a mall much less the nation. One important fact about Dr. Rice is that she has testified to the 9/11 commission telling them that very important August 6, 2001 PDB of "Bin Laden Determined to attack the United States" was a "historical document". Condi, when you have a memo that states that Osama bin Laden will possibly would attack the U.S. which is a real threat and call it a "historical document" then you are not doing your job as National Security Advisor. What are doing for you to possibly say that ? Are you screwing him? Do you kiss Bush's ass everyday ? What in the hell are doing when you saying things like that Condi ? Threats like this as a "National Security Advisor " should be taken seriously not brush it off like you said to the 9/11 Commission.

(If you want to view the PDB here is the link http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0409041pdb1.html)

Now that Condi Rice is going to be the face of representing the U.S. in the world, her hard-line, right-wing reputation now proceeds her. It's very dangerous for our nation for a person like Condolezza Rice would further endanger the world and damage our reputation. More and more people Bush liutentants are leaving or considering leaving their posts in the administration. People like Education Secretary Rod Paige, Don Evans, Commerce Secretary, Norman Minneta a former Clinton appointee as Transportation Secretary, Secretary of Agriculture Ann Veneman, and Spencer Abraham former Michigan Senator and Energy Department secretary who avocated drill for oil in ANWAR (Alaska National Wildlife Artic Refuge) These same people whom had corporate connections in getting their jobs and may have some reservation in going Bush's neoconservative, hard-line agenda is being replaced with more hard-line, neoconservative and more right-wing cabinet that will emerge in Bush's second term and literally ruin the country and the world by pressing their repressive hard-line agenda.

The Bush supporters that have put him back in office would see the choice they have made was a very bad one. They would soon realize of what Bush is doing in the next four years of his hard-right wing ways and attempts for imperialistic misaventures will be futile. They will found out that Bush does not care for the middle-class people but his fellow rich billionaires. With all the incompetent nicopoops in the Bush administration when would they stop supporting and enabling them ? When they make a major mistake that place us at a highest risk of danger? When would the Bush backer realize that?

Now that half of the logically-minded people noticed that the second Bush term will be more right-wing and his lieutenants nor Bush or Cheney would listen to reason and logic we have lot of work a head of us. We for one must continue to bring up the progressive voice and spread it further in the country. We need to reach those in the 28 red states that voted for Bush in the Presidential election . Within those states they are progressive-minded who agree with our ideals. We definitely need to empower them and bring them into the fold. Since the mainstream news networks are Bush-friendly by their corporate owners there needs to be a rise of non-mainstream and alternate news to get a well rounded prospective of the world around us. With in the few months these alternative sources has been rising up in the past year.
Examples like Air America Radio and other non-mainstream media is a good start. We also need to build up the similar infrastructure like the conservatives have. We are starting to build that up hopefully that will be in placed in 2008. Next, and its most importantly we need give the Democratic Party some cajones to stand up against the Republicans.

The Dems for the past two decades have been afraid to stand up against the Conservatives because of them being branded of being liberal and progressive. The keep caving in to the Republicans by trying to imitate them. Which proved to be a disaster for the Democrats. Now after our disappointing defeat in the presidential, U.S. Senatorial and Congressional Elections we need the more progressive and liberal groups and factions to be involved in rebuilding the Democrats as the party that fights for the little guy and won't be afraid to stand up for what they believe in.

For those who care about this country these are your marching orders: Get off your ass and stop whining about what Bush and his ilk are doing to us . Stop the whining and stand up and start fighting Bush and his ilk for imposing their idiotic, repressive, right-wing ,imperialist agenda.
And build the Democratic party to a lean mean fighting machine to stand up against the Republicans. Remember this people:FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!!!!!!!

Welcome To Hell !! (aka United States of America)

Election Night, 2004, I am sitting in my living room at my house to see how is the Presidental Election would turn out . For about 8 hours I sat there glued to the TV seeing the results of how each state would turn out. I am very ancious as I see the amount of Republican-leaning states increase in the South and the central Midwest. It seemed Bush was close to reelection but I was having a lot of hope for Kerry to win. In the last few hours all roads to the White House went through Ohio. Bush had the lead over Kerry on the electorial votes but Kerry was inching quite close. Before I went to sleep at around 6 a.m. Kerry's crew was going to wait it out and see all the votes are counted. Now at around noon now I hear that Kerry has conceded to the asshole George W. Bush and Ohio with 20 electorial votes gone to him. Oh! Lord, help us now!

How can the people who voted for Bush can be so dumb! How can they be scared into voting for a President that is so incompentent, so ignorant, so right-wing that they feel that Kerry couldn't be the better person for the job. For the staunch Bush supporters who reelected Bush back into office: You have blood on your hands. Now that Bush is back in office the reality is now more imperialist, unprovoked, unnessary and disatrous wars. Forget the UN helping us now we are definely alone in the world. Our civil rights and liberties would be greatly reduced. The next four years America is going to hijacked by radical, ultra-right wing psychos who is close to making the country close to a facist-imperialist power.

Despite the grave news we have some bright spots. Illinois Senator-elect Barack Obama was elected and in Colorado former Attorney General Ken Salazzar was also elected to a Senate seat.

We the People for the next four years can not, I repeat just can not give up. Today is the day that we are close in and personally fight against the Bush Adminstration. Today is the day that we make things just worse for the things that Bush and his ilk wants to do. By that, we have to fight tooth and nail to take the country back in 2008. Secondly, we as Democrats,Progressives and liberals has the start in forming our focus groups. For us we have to have the same infastructure like the right-wing groups to get our agenda across. Thirdly, getting out the vote among non-voters and young voters. From what I hear despite large voter turnout , young voter did not bother to vote or even care about voting. Its just atrocious that all the effort nationally to influnce young voters to vote out Bush the apthathy was still there. Fouthly, we must do somthing in the two political parties system and voting system of this country. In many parts of the country how votes are cast are varied. If we win in 2008 (or sooner if people get tired of Bush and his ilk ruining the country) we would have to revamp and streamline the voting process in the country.

NOW IS THE TIME TO NOT LOOK DOWN. IT'S NOW THE TIME TO STAND UP AND FIGHT !!

BUSH IS NOW OUR ENEMY, FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS WE WOULD HAVE TO BE DEAD IN ON HIS ASS!!

FIGHT NOW TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY, FIGHT AGAINST THE BUSH CRIME FAMILY. FIGHT AGAINST THE CORPORATIONS.

STAND UP NOW AND KEEP THE FAITH!!

LET'S MAKE THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OF THE BUSH ADMINSTRATION THE ONE THAT HIM AND HIS SUPPORTERS WOULD LIVE TO REGRET!!
