This is your President

Hi Bush Supporters,

Are you glad that your president is back in office for another 4 years? You really must be. Dubya and his team did not take a lot of convincing to tell you that voting him in for another four years would make America safe and back on its moral path. Was it V.P. Dick Cheney that said that if you vote for the "wrong choice" that dirty liberal John Kerry you would get hit again by the terrorists. Dubya also scared you into thinking that a vote for Kerry would make all the queers marry, and our moral values would be lost. America will go to hell in a handbasket if we vote in these "dangerous liberals. Have you also notice that your president also put out the 2006 budget. In his promise in "using our tax dollars wisely" plege in the State of the Union your president wants to cut funding to number of goverment programs that help all Americans. Let's just hear a few programs that he want to cut out, because according to him and his own number crunchers many of these programs are "redundant" and "not effective".

According to the Center For American Progress , a liberal think-tank Dubya's '06 fiscal year budget will cut over the next 5 years $138 billion in mandatory programs and $212 billion on descresionary spending on these programs. Let's break it down:

• The COPS program started by President Bill Clinton (yes, him) in the '90's to add more cops on the street in cites across the nation will be cut from $2.8 billon to $1.5 billion.

• Many block grant programs to help cites will be eliminated or drastically reduced.

• The budget of the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) will cut by $555 million. Including programs that teaches prevention of diseases and promoting health.

• Reduce spending on Medicare by $45 billion over the next 10 years.

• Increase funding on abstaince-only programs by $38 million while not finding any funding for HIV-STD prevention and education.
• Start an ineffective NCLB (No Child Left Behind) program for High Schools. The total cost is $1.5 billion. Bush will make that money by cutting $2 billion to programs that aid high school students
• Increase funding to defense to $420 billion.
• Eliminate funding to Amtrak which will strand millions of people from traveling across the country.

I could go on about what else Bush can find to cut on his budget chopping block. I can also mention that all these cuts don't tack on the cost for our quagmire of a war in Iraq which your President wants $80 billion more, making his tax cuts for his wealty supporters permanet and his over-ambitous plan to elimiate Social Security. Without Social Security a two-thirds of senior citizens and the disabled will be left in the poorhouse. Depite by what you hear from Dubya and his flunkies that Social Securtity will go under and "private accounts" is the way to go what they say is not true. Social Security benfits will continue to pay out at least 80% of the benfits to retirees in 2052 according to Congressional Budget Office or 2042 on other sources. The scheme to eliminate SS benifits by forming these private accounts will do nothing to save security in fact, it won't do anything for it . What it will be is free money for the investors and the idle rich to play with. While leaving us working class with nothing. Let's understand that the SS is not an only means of support for retirees but as a safety net and suppliment for their pensions, 4o1(k)s and what other retirement plans they may have. It's also an insurance program that everybody pays into. Not an entitlement as the right-wingers you listen to wants you to know. The private accounts setup by the goverment and managed by brokerage firms are dependate on the daily preformance of the Stock Market. With these accounts, to my understanding brokeage firms make the money no matter how bad or good the Stock market does. So if on an any given day if the stocks market tanks you lose your money by paying the vig(intrest) not the principal. What happens if a unfortunate event happens to a young worker, such as death or disablilty. The accounts won't pay out as much because it did not have a chance to grow. Unlike these accounts SS is a pool of money that pays into and if something happens or a person retires then that person would get a sufficent amount of money to support themselves. It was the true genius of FDR who designed the program in the '30's during the Depression while prior to the beginning of Social Security many elderly people were poor after they retired and stuggling to live pillar to post and their making ends meet.

It shows that your President, this fine "Christian man" that you admire really show who he cares more about. If you are not a billionare, own a multinational corporation or a oil company or if your last name isn't Bush then are persona non grata to him. (GASP!!) Yes with this pathethic budget and these outragous cuts that affects you and me. To keep our childern nice and stupid and their only purpose is serve and die in wars. To continue to build on building the mitlitary-industrial complex with flaunting our weapons of mass destruction. To continue to tout that he support the troops while cutting thier beneifts. And to "protecting " the homeland from the "terrorist" but cutting the funding for cites in strengthing thier security. Dubya is showing you the finger but you still feel he is the best we have in this world. At the same time he is mooning the world. Further damaging our reputation. That doesn't matter to you? I guess it doesn't .

At least those queers won't be able to marry!
