If we are supposed to be better than Al-Qaeda and all the "terrist" in the world, then we should not stoop to their barbaric level. There is no sense that we should not play by our rules to prove that the fact we are dealing with terrorists here we will use any means necessary to beat the shit out of them to stop terror. What we are doing just proves that we are just as bad as al-Qaeda if not even worse than them. Right wingers may abhor the fact if we get any POW or detainee have rights provided by the Geneva Convention when we hold them. We can't , just can't justify in abandoning the Geneva Conventions because the enemy may completely ignore them when they hold our own. By following the laws and treaties we are signed to makes us more civilized and better than the terrorists and other enemies of the U.S. Don't get me wrong I as many Americans here are not sympathetic with terrorists of all nationalities. I, as majority of Americans want justice but do it the right and the leal way. There is no need to circumvent any laws that we have in place to show since a terrorist attack happed in the country gives you free reign to do anything you want. Anything like starting unessary wars, alienate alliances and tourture detainees. All of this to give cojones to the "Decider".
Let's be proud that the Supereme Court under the Bush Crime Family's control has gave the "King" George (and Dead Eye Dick) a serious bitchslap for his grabs for power. Hopefully it smashes the "unitary executive"theory.
